DESCRIPTION:Session 3: Visit the Writing Center in-person or online between February 16-20 with your three essay drafts \nPlease note the Writing Center hours below:\nCue 303\nMonday-Thursday\, 10:00am-4:00pm\nFriday\, 11:00am-3:00pm\nLibrary\nMonday-Thursday\, 5:00pm-7:00pm \nWSU has had multiple Gilman Scholars over the years\, and you could be the next to win the award to study abroad! \nJoin our workshop series that focuses on the prestigious\, nationally competitive Gilman Scholarship. You’ll learn about eligibility requirements (applicants must be Pell Grant eligible) and how to write effective scholarship essays for this award. \nParticipate in at least 3 of 4 interactive\, writing-centered activities and submit your Gilman application to qualify for a $250 award from the WSU Distinguished Scholarship Program to use for your study abroad program (regardless of any final decision from Gilman on your application). \nFebruary workshop dates: \n\nTuesday\, February 3\, 10\, and 24 from Noon-1 p.m.\, virtual\, camera required\, email for the Zoom links OR\nFriday\, February 6\, 13\, and 27 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. virtual\, camera required\, email for the Zoom links\nFebruary 16 through 20 – visit the WSU Writing Center in person from any WSU campus or online through eTutoring with your essays.
