DESCRIPTION:WSU has had dozens of Gilman Scholars over the years and you could be the next to win the award to study abroad! \nJoin our new workshop series that focuses on the prestigious\, nationally competitive Gilman Scholarship. You’ll learn about eligibility requirements and how to write an effective application and submit it. \nParticipate in at least 3 of 4 writing-centered activities and submit an application to qualify for a $250 award from the WSU Distinguished Scholarship Program to use for your study abroad program (regardless of any final decision from Gilman on your application). \nAll workshop dates to choose from include: \n\n1/31\, 2/7\, and 2/21(Wednesdays)\, Noon-1 p.m.\, CUE 405: In-person sessions at WSU Pullman\n2/4\, 2/11\, or 2/25 (Sundays)\, 7-8 p.m.: Virtual—email for the Zoom links\n2/12 through 2/21 (Weekdays): You can attend drop-in sessions to share your essays with staff at the WSU Writing Center.
