The Distinguished Scholarships Program works with all students, in all majors, from all campuses. All of our workshops are provided via Zoom. If you have any questions about using Zoom to attend a workshop produced by the Distinguished Scholarships Program, please email DistinguishedScholarships@wsu.edu at least 24 hours prior to the event and we will assist you.

Please note: We also list events in our calendar which are produced by other units and are of interest to students pursuing distinguished scholarships.

Goldwater/STEM Students Workshop

Udall Scholarship Workshop

Please join WSU graduate, Udall Scholar, and current Tribal History Preservation Assistant with the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, Emma Johnson, along with the WSU Distinguished Scholarships Program to learn more about the Udall scholarship (due March 2, 2021) and the application process for this award. In 2021, the Udall Foundation anticipates awarding 60 scholarships nationwide of up to $7,000 each, for sophomores and juniors in one of three distinct areas. Writing Effective Scholarship Essays

Director of the Distinguished Scholarships Program, April Seehafer, will present tips and ideas to help students be more efficient in writing their scholarship application essays. During this workshop, students will have an opportunity to work on the prompts for the WSU general scholarship application, ask questions, and learn about nationally competitive scholarships.
